We have had a successful inaugural event and proven that BoneIslandTri is more than just poised, but off and running, with the potential to become one of the premiere destination long-course triathlon's in the world. It's a perfect combination, A World-Class Team producing this event and the premiere location of Key West & the Lower Florida Keys.  We are bringing fun back to the sport of Triathlon!  If you want to be catered to by the most entertaining aid stations and enjoy the best triathlon weather North America has to offer in January then BoneIslandTri is your destination!

Key West is the farthest south you can go in the continental US! In January Key West has an average water temperature of 69 degrees Fahrenheit and an average air temperature in the 70's. The warm weather and the warm hospitality of Key West's residents is well known to visitors from around the world.

There is a $10.00 fee for each non-USAT registrant.

Policies and Refunds

TRANSFER POLICY

Event entries are NOT transferrable between individuals, events or years. No exceptions will be made to this or any policy.

Full entries may be changed to Half entries for a transfer fee of $75 provided the Half is still open for registration. Once the Half is closed to general entry transfers from the Full to the Half will not be made.

Half entries may be changed to Full entries for a total fee of $300 provided the Full is still open for registration. Once the Full is closed to general entry transfers from the Half to the Full will not be made.

Individual entries may be changed to relay entries until December 1, 2013. The fee for this transfer is $200 if the new team members are not already registered for the event. If you are combining multiple individual registrations into one relay team, the fee for this transfer is $50. Deadline for any changes is December 1, 2013.

REFUND POLICY

50% of your entry fee will be refunded until December 1, 2013. No refunds will be issued for any reason after December 1, 2013. You must use the link below to request you refund no later than December  1, 2013.

Event Site Rules

Event Capacity
This event is limited to the first 600 registrations per distance (600 for the Half and 600 for the Full).

USAT Sanctioned
Bone Island Tri is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event.

Cut off Times
All participants must complete the FULL within 17 hours of the start of the swim (8 hours for the HALF). Individual discipline cut off times are seen below and are listed as cumulative times from the start of the swim. Event officials reserve the right to pull any athlete from the course if it appears he/ she will not complete the event within the posted cut off times.

Swim: 2 hours 20 minutes (1 hour 00 minutes HALF)
Bike: 10 hours 00 minutes (5 hours 00 minutes HALF)
Run: 17 Hours 00 minutes (9 hours 00 minutes HALF)

Minimum Age
The minimum age allowed for participation in the Bone Island Full is 18 years of age. The minimum age allowed for participation in the Bone Island Half is 15 years of age.

Timing System
Bone Island Tri will be timed using the MyLaps Chip Timing System. (5 splits provided)
